A parent of a young person recently sent us this note about their child’s time at our Thousand Faces camp.

“I just wanted to say a huge thank you to your team for giving Jay the opportunity to attend the Thousand Faces camp.

Jay has not stopped talking about the camp and the incredible activities and people that supported them. 

As you may be more than aware of, camp is not always an easy place for our trans and gender diverse kids to be at. The fact that you and team made Jay so comfortable to not only be there but to be safe and free to talk about themselves is an absolute gift you have offered my child, thank you. 

As an LGTBIQA+ child and family practitioner, I am constantly supporting young people to know the world around them can be safe if they can find their squads and their spaces, thank you for creating one at Reach. 

Please pass on my thanks to all the staff that attended the camp as well as all who supported it beforehand, the whole process was a safe and welcoming one.
