Heroes Day

Heroes Day is a powerful, high energy, high impact, youth-led experience, bringing up to 500 year 9 students together for one unforgettable day of connection, reflection & growth. This isn’t a lecture. It’s an interactive and immersive workshop where young people are invited to pause, be real, challenge their perceptions, connect with purpose and explore who they are and who they want to be!

Overview

What to expect:

  • Engaging & Energetic group activities with honest conversations
  • Time to reflect on identity, purpose and challenges
  • A safe, supportive space to build confidence and connection

Why does it matter?

Teachers tell us the impact lasts well beyond the day; stronger relationships, deeper conversations, and students who feel genuinely seen and valued. From running Heroes Day, our Facilitators and Crew consistently see students leave:

  • More self-aware & confident
  • More connected to their peers
  • Better equipped to face challenges with resilience and hope

Heroes Day gives young people something rare: permission to reflect, space to be themselves, and belief in their own potential.

Testimonials

- Personally, I felt like this was one of the best experiences I've had with connecting with my cohort as a whole. Usually, it's like I connect more with my class, the people at home and people in my house at school. I feel like connecting as a cohort is really crucial, especially at this age, as I discussed with my friends. I would really love this to be an annual events for other Year 9s in the future and possibly for Year 10s as well. Overall, this was a great experience that taught me that we are more alike than we think and at the end of the day, it's the same kind of problems that bother us and that we can all work together to overcome them.

- It was very meaningful and I think it helped a lot of people realise that it's ok to feel what you felt and that you're not alone. Definitely a wonderful experience.
