GROUNDED
Reach’s Grounded program is for year 9 students considered disengaged or at-risk. Grounded was created with the belief that while every young person has greatness within, not every young person can and does recognise this for themselves.
The program aims to equip students with the skills and self-belief they need to develop greater social and emotional awareness and to take positive action in their life.
Grounded is a series of two workshops (10-2pm) delivered within each school term. Each workshop hosts approximately 40 students.
Grounded is delivered by the inspiring Reach Crew who are highly trained young people skilled in effectively engaging with these students. The objectives of the workshop-series include:
- Encouraging students to express themselves honestly, without judgment
- Building self-belief and confidence
- Inspiring students to identify their passions and dreams; and
- Supporting them to create a vision to achieve their goals.
