FINDING HEROES
Finding Heroes is a unique Professional Development workshop for Educators and Youth Professionals to learn and practice the skills and techniques (used by Reach) that effectively engage and facilitate young people.
The Finding Heroes program in Victoria has recently been refreshed thanks to an exciting new partnership between the Commonwealth Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR). The new program is based on 18 years of Reach experience working in schools and is underpinned by the internationally renowned positive psychology framework.
Designed to equip teachers, educators and youth professionals with the practical skills and resources essential to improve the emotional and social wellbeing of students, the Finding Heroes program now includes:
- A refreshed one-day workshop
- Integrated online resource kit, featuring six modules and more than 25 classroom-based activities; and
- An online information-sharing forum designed to support you after the workshop and to foster a growing community of knowledge
The refreshed Finding Heroes program will launch in Melbourne on Wednesday 21 March with a pilot workshop fully subsidised by the DEEWR for registered teachers.
