CAMP MAASAI
Camp Maasai is business leaders and young Australians sharing an unforgettable experience.
Have you ever wondered what it is like to be a young person in today’s complex and constantly changing world?
What are the real issues affecting young people today, and more importantly, how are they faring? The African Maasai tribe’s traditional warrior greeting is “Kasserian ingera”, meaning “and how are the children?” The traditional reply, “all the children are well”, confirms that everything is okay and that despite daily struggles of village life, the young people of the community are well cared for.
Reach is based on a similar philosophy that support for young people is key to a healthy society. Camp Maasai aims to give corporate Australia the chance to provide young people with the emotional resources and life-skills they need to thrive in our ever-changing world. Reach’s Camp Maasai is a unique opportunity for you to change the lives of some remarkable young Australians. You will share dreams, fears, and aspirations, and make real connections with some amazing young people, on a journey like no other.
The weekend’s aim is to bring young people and corporate Australia together to promote empathy, understanding and awareness. Facilitated by our Reach Senior Facilitators and our highly trained young Crew, this event provides an opportunity for all involved to develop greater levels of understanding, of themselves and the people around them.
